Uttaranchal

The northern Indian state, Uttaranchal, is significant in many way. Uttaranchal is an ideal tourist destination and Hindu Pilgrimage as well.

Nainital

Nainital is a lovely hill station surrounded by mountains on three sides. For this area had many lakes, it is called the City of 60 lakes or ‘Chakla’. Naina Devi Temple, Naini Lake and Snow View Trek are main attractions.

Naukuchiatal

Situated at an altitude of 1,219 m, Naukuchiatal is picturesque lake. It has nine corners and hence the name. Naukuchiatal attracts migratory birds, which makes it a bird watchers paradise. Lakes, fishing trek and mountain biking are major attractions.

Sattal

Sattal (seven lakes), located between Nainital and Bhimtal, is a group of seven lakes. Nature has really provided this place with beauty, in abundance.

Mukteshwar

Mukteshwar set stop a high ridge, is a beautiful Himalayan resort, surrounded by fruit orchards and thick coniferous forest.

Ranikhet

Ranikhet in the Kumaon hills is a haven of tranquilly with its meadows, pine and cedar forests and enchanting views of the snow capped Himalayas. Ranikhet is famous for Wildlife sanctuaries and golf course.

Almora

The town of Almora is situated over a horse saddle shaped ridge of a mountain. The eastern portion of the ridge is known as Talifat and the western one is known as Selifat.

Corbett

Jim Corbett National Park is one of the greatest National Parks of Asia. Jim Corbett National Park is the perfect habitat of tiger, elephant, hog deer, birds and other wildlife species rapidly vanishing from the earth.

Binsar

Binsar wildlife sanctuary is a beautiful bird’s habitat. It provides a majestic view of Nanda devi and Wide Himalayan panorama. Katarmal and Jageshwar are viewable places at Binsar.

Gorakhal

Gorakhal is a famous temple of Gollu Devta. The famous Sainik School is also situated at Gorakhal.

Kainchi Temple

Kainchi temple is situated very close to Bhowali. Located on Almora-Ranikhet Road, the Kainchi Temple is a tourist attraction.

Patal Bhuwaneshwar

Situated on the elevation of  1350 meters, Patal Bhuwaneshwar holds many caves of their own kind. The place is worth to visit.

Jageshwar

Jageshwar is the temple of Maha mritunjaya (Lord Shiva). It is the only temple of Maha mritunjaya in India.

Dhanaulti

Dhanaulti is a dreamy, misty mountain retreat In the Garhwal Hills. This is the perfect honeymoon hideaway.

Chamba

The territory is wholly mountainous with altitude ranging from 2000 Lo 21000 feet. Bhuri Singh Museum, Pangi Vally and Lakshmi Narayan Temple is main attraction at the beautiful place.

Dehradun

Situated at an altitude of 2200 feet above sea level, Dehradun is the capital of Uttaranchal. It is one of the most developed city of India having moderate climate. The places to see at Dehradun are Sahastradhara,, Robbers Cave, Forest Research Institute, Tapkeshwar Temple, Lakshman Sidh, Malsi Deer Park etc.

There are a number of places around Uttaranchal which are significant from cultural and religious point of view.

Mathura 42 kms

Mathura is the birth place of Lord Krishna. It is an important place for tourists and pilgrims as well.

Vrindavan 38 kms

The name Vrindavan evokes the playfulness and lovable characteristics of Lord Krishna. This is the place where he frolicked with the Gopis and legendry wooed Radha.

Agra 100 kms

Tajmahal is one of the UNESCO World Heritage in India. The Shrine of Love, Tajmahal is situated on the bank of Yamuna. It is made of white marble. Other places to see at Agra are Red Fort, Buland Darwaza of Fatehpur Sikri etc.

Bharatpur 80 kms

Bharatpur IS largely known for the Bird Sanctuary but the city also hosts a beautiful fort. Places to see at Bharatpur are Ghana National Park, Lohagarh and Golbagh Palace.

Govardhan Parvath

Govardhan Parvath is famous place of Hindu pilgrimage. Govardhan Parvath is located on a narrow sandstone hill known as Giriraj which is about 8 kilometers in length.
