Goals are meant to keep you on track and moving forward with motivation. The road may feel hard at times but with an end to the journey the road to get to that end is plausible.

In internet marketing, goal setting is extremely important. You work from home in an un-structured environment without people to cheer you on and force you to succeed. You will experience multiple distractions, obstacles and also times when you feel like giving up. If you did not set goals you will not have anything in which to aspire, which can result in you “throwing in the towel”. Future goals will give you the motivation to keep pursuing your dreams and desires.

Short term goals are important to keep you on track with your daily, weekly and monthly business tasks. Without meeting your short term goals, you will never meet your long term ones. If you find yourself wandering during the day, set daily milestones the night before. Whether you are attempting to create a video, write a blog post or make some calls, write it all down so you have a schedule. If need be, do this every night to stay organized. Weekly goals are also important because they outline the bigger picture as you are meeting your daily schedules. Weekly and monthly goals can specify those tasks which will grow your business and take longer but are the ones you know you need to fulfill before the month is up. Short And Long Term Goal Setting

Long term goals not only help us see the bigger picture, they supply us with the determination to move forward in our daily and monthly commitments. I stress this because many new internet marketers experience a push in the beginning months as they are passionate about their new endeavors. But at about the six week mark, the reality sets in and the excitement wears off. Without goals, they may give up before they even had the chance to get going. Set realistic goals for yourself and keep them before you always. Your ultimate destination should remain a staple in your mind.
