Khalistan Movement – The Resurrection

Sikhs all around the world cannot forget the valor Jarnail Singh Bhindranwale who sacrificed his life on June 6, 1984 at the age of 37 years while resisting the most brutal assault ever on a sacred religious place for worship in the history of the world. The Sikhs cannot forgive and forget the disgrace of their premier and sacred temple.

The Sikh Movement of Independent Khalistan was brutally curbed by the then Indian Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. Elders of Sikh nation still recall the tormenting and humiliation of the sacredHarmandir Sahib commonly known as the “Golden Temple”. The Sikh generation of today hardly knows about the intensity of insult which was slapped on the face of Sikh community by the Indians in reward of their support to Indian state at the time ofIndependence.

The mistake committed by the Sikh elders at the time ofIndependence from British rule in 1947 causing pain, distress and humiliation till now. Sikh community was targeted for humiliation by Hindus of India immediately after gaining a liberated homeland using the power of Sikh youth. The riots orchestrated against Muslims in 1947 post partition era is widely blamed on Sikhs although Hindus were in majority at that time who took advantage of the situation and walked out clean putting all the blame on Sikhs alone for the massacre of Muslims. The plan was not understood easily by the Sikh leaders at that time as it was a deliberate move to create a wide gulf between Muslim and Sikh population of India and even a bad taste with those Muslims living in Pakistan. The divide and rule policy worked and Hindus used the mercuric blood and sentiments of Sikhs to trigger what was called the biggest massacre occurred after the World War II. In short the only losers in this drama were the Sikhs.

It was natural that after the dirt settled, Sikhs and Muslims realized that they were smartly made enemies of each other and Sikhs in particular were used to weaken themselves for the decades to come. Had Sikhs opted for a separate homeland in 1947, it could have been a better choice for the whole Sikh nation of the world. Today Sikh identity is lost under the mud where Hindus have engineered a campaign against this community and now they are not treated seriously and are so hugely ridiculed all around the world. Many of the Indians now run websites offering humiliating anti Sikh jokes and this is now being done with alarming intensity. Since the fall of Golden Temple, the targeting of Sikhs as a laughable community is creating of distress among those living abroad and engaged in high profile jobs, business and trade. This humiliation is faced by Sikhs every day and that has to be ended seriously.

Today, Sikhs are realigning themselves in the quest to revive the movement for their identity and the release of their sacred land from the claws of Indians who are fooling them since long. It is said that India now has a Sikh Prime Minister, but it is asked that what has been done by this Prime Minister to protect the Sikh interests. Even Dr. Manmohan Singh is widely ridiculed by common Indians. We can see many forums and see by ourselves that how many ugly names and tags are propagated for the Indian Premier. The most devastating thing noticed today is the news that Dr. Manmohan Singh himself warned Canada to stop harboring Sikhs who have loyalty to the Khalistan Movement. This is a direct assault on the quest of sacred Sikh homeland and that too by the hands of a Sikh Leader. The Sikh Identity in India is no doubt at a big stake. The systematic brain-washing actions are now causing many Sikh youth leave their centuries old Identity. Sikh youth are more interested in clean shaving and mingling with common Indians as they are feeling ashamed of having a long beard and turban now. In short Sikh identity is now clearly jeopardized by the Indian media and the Government.

Coming back to the serious issue raised by Dr. Manmohan Singh about nabbing Khalistan loyals inCanada and around the world, this signal is no doubt serious and raising huge alarms for those who are acting seriously are devotedly to revamp the Khalistan movement which was too close to reach its success two decades back.

It is also very alarming that Indian RAW the notorious spy agency, tried to trigger fresh wave of Sikh Muslim riots by engineering the killing of Sikhs in Orakzai Agency in Pakistan through Tehreek e Taliban Pakistan whose connection with India have been seriously established. This ploy though failed but it shows the sign that Indian establishment and their leaders are sensing the re-emergence of Khalistan movement and they are trying their best to pluck its possible support from Pakistan.

The time has come when Sikhs all around the world should think that the need for their separate homeland is now more important than drinking water! The war has already been initiated by the Indian Premier by pressurizingCanada to make the lives of Sikh community a hell and to extradite them from the place where they are happily living since decades. It is time Sikhs should realize the ugly conspiracy being orchestrated against them which would push back the movement for a separate Sikh state of “Khalistan” again for many decades.

Sikh nation is again looking for another “Jarnail Singh Bhindranwale” or infact many more like him to take the dream of noble and sacred identity the “Khalistan” a country like a protective umbrella for generations of Sikhs to come.
