The hottest looks of this year include many bold bracelets – from candy colored cuffs to bejeweled bangles, it’s all about using bracelets to complete your look. Think of them as the icing on the cake or the finishing touch when you’re getting ready. Whether its day or night, adding the right bracelets can take you from fashion friendly to fabulously fierce.

Many of the looks for fall include heavier fabrics like wool, woven cotton and velvet. These pieces call for bracelets that will still stand out. Try adding one signature piece in yellow gold and go for gems in stand out jewel tones and rich hues like amethyst, turquoise and orange. These bracelets will make any boring sweater look fresh and new.

Fall is also the prime time for layering. Whether it’s several lightweight knits with a long tunic sweater vest or a tank top, a great bolero sweater and a scarf, you can’t go wrong when you layer. But that rule of thumb doesn’t just apply to fabrics. It also works well for bracelets. Adding an armful of bright enamel bangle bracelets can be just the ticket for livening up darker knits.

Bold bangle bracelets continue to be a hot ticket item and you can be sure that they’ll work well with your cool weather looks. There are some really fun and funky styles from which to choose this season. For example, rock and roll inspired bracelets utilizing materials like leather, spikes and chain make it fun to accessorize. However, save these edgy pieces for outside the office. You can also funk up a little black dress with some arm candy that utilizes dark stones to make maximum impact.

So just because you’re ready to make the switch to 3/4 length and long sleeves, don’t forget that bracelets are still a great way to accessorize your look.

Quiksilver Cypher Heat Vest $199.95 This is a item that is getting a ton of interest from our customers. Everyone who has bought one has been super stoked because of the incredible heat this gives off. This is a poly propylene vest with infra-red heat pads that actually warm the entire vest. It has a rechargable battery pack that stores in the side of the vest. The Cypher Heat vest actually has 2 settings (low – high) so you can control how much heat the pads give off. The heating pads are on your lower back. If you keep that area warm (your core) your entire body feels the effect. In the low setting – the ambient temperature it gives off is 113 degrees farenheit. That goes up to 130 degrees on the higher setting. The vest itself is made from 7 ounce polypro so it fits comfortably under your wetsuit. Since cold is a pretty subjective experience – it is hard to accurately say how warm it keeps you – but I’ve heard stories of guys in the Northeast wearing this under a 3/2 even in pretty cold water. If you are looking for some extra heat this winter – then check this out. It is a bit pricey – but it is cheaper than a second – thicker wetsuit. Plus – can you really put a price on warmth?
